TSS 3530A Transport Stream Server
Overview
The TSS 3530A Transport Stream Server provides a complete, frame-accurate play-out solution for single and multi-channel SD and HD content. Designed around a PC server platform, it provides an MPEG-2 or H.264 transport stream server that can handle multiple inputs and generate several MPEG-2/H.264 transport stream outputs. Depending on remuxing needs, the TSS 3530A can provide TS Playback of up to 32 simultaneous services and up to 344 Mbps. This bandwidth can be shared over GigE and 4 ASI outputs.
Available configurations of one, two or four ASI inputs and IP, receive either SPTS or MPTS with SD or HD content, which can be de-multiplexed and stored on-disk depending on time slots defined in a schedule list. They can then be reused in broadcasting lists so as to create a stream composed of live and stored files including ad insertion. Splicing, performed between each program in the play list, may be operated between a live program and a stored program, between two stored programs or between two live programs,
All these outputs can be multiplexed to create up to 4 ASI outputs for live streaming, delayed delivery, or signal failure backup. The input stream can also be sent directly to one or more outputs (live).
With real-time embedded re-multiplexing for ASI output, powered by the OpenMux® technology, the video server can handle several play lists, live streams and delayed streams simultaneously and in real time. It therefore creates an MPEG-2, DVB or ATSC-compliant multiplexing output that can be directly connected to a modulator,
Additional capabilities include: Frame-accurate editing in which each stored stream may be edited before being broadcast by setting start and end locators, Remote configuration and operation from another machine located on the same network, RAID Support with one disk dedicated to redundancy, Hot plugging of hard drives in the internal or external rack unit, and optional transrating.

Real-Time Software Mux/Demux
The TSS 3530A Transport Stream Server integrates a real-time software multiplexer. This powerful functionality can extract one or several programs from the incoming multiplexes and record this selected content to the hard drive. New multiplexed content can be produced from a combination of live and file sources.
Remote Control
The TSS 3530A can be operated locally or remotely with no loss in functionality. Using the easily installable Windows client application, all key functionality of the server can be controlled from anywhere on the network.
Simultaneous Record/Playback
The TSS 3530A can immediately begin playback of any recorded content. For broadcasters wanting to archive important live broadcasts or deliver recorded content to an external FTP site, the server offers a push-to-FTP while recording.
Time Zone Shifting
Network feeds are easily delayed for delivery into the local time zone with just a few clicks.
Local Insertion
The TSS 3530A responds to industry-standard SCTE 35 and GPI cues for seamless insertion of local programming.
